This is a group meeting up to discuss and build projects based primarily around analog electronics or power. Everyone welcome whatever experience level.
Even if your primary interest is digital electronics / microcontrollers, you might well find something of interest here.
This session we will look at the basic operation of switched-mode boost converters, one of the most common modern power supply types for (relatively) low power equipment.
This is an important session for all analog / power topics since we will introduce diodes, inductors and FETs in switching mode, all very crucial components.
No knowledge from session #2 required, and we will again very briefly recap session #1, so if you haven’t attended so far, you should still be able to get something out of this.
